Corporate Wellbeing Treks in the Lake District that boost employee satisfaction with their work environment and outside life

We organise and lead Corporate Wellness treks in the Lake District for the top London law firm, Harbottle & Lewis.

Wellbeing has become such an integral part of business culture; research shows that creating a working environment that supports, maintains and seeks to improve overall employee wellness results in greater satisfaction and productivity, resulting in greater success of the business.

WIRED Magazine: “People feel proud about working for a company that demonstrates it cares about its employees and what’s important to them. It’s a win/win.”

Trekking

Trekking boosts physical and mental wellbeing, connects one with nature and manifests a calm mind as one leaves stressors behind.

Bella’s role as a Mountain Leader, Yoga Instructor and Health Coach is to facilitate safety, support and management throughout the company experience.

Participants do not need to be very fit as we have varied levels of difficulty for the route we take, groups will be spit into moderate and hard.

Wellbeing

An hour long group coaching session outlines the basics of a healthy holistic lifestyle and opens the dialogue around where employees feel the company could support their wellbeing more and opens space for anonymous feedback.

Employees are encouraged to switch off their phones, to allow more time and energy to connect with colleagues and share a magical adventure. WIFI will be available in the evenings but signal is limited in the mountains.

One morning we do an impromptu yoga class…casual without mats.

So far age ranges have been from 25-65. Employees from cross departments and a mix of levels of company hierarchy will get to know each other on a non-professional basis.

Itinerary

Two days hiking, 3 nights – employees do not need to use their annual leave to take part:

• Either, arriving Sunday night and back to the office for lunchtime on Wednesday.

• Or, leaving the office at lunchtime on Wednesday and back to London Saturday morning.

We walk for roughly 6 hours a day, stopping along the way for a pack lunch.

Booking

We organize the logistics and make the bookings, then send you the final payment details so the company books everything directly.

“Harbottle & Lewis’ wellbeing programme was introduced because we recognise the importance of our people and their physical and mental health. The take up for the hiking with Bella was fantastic and the feedback was universally positive.” – Glen Atchison, Managing Partner
